It’s cuffing season in Arizona! Check out these three area date ideas for you and your sweetheart

As the temperatures finally begin to cool down, the Phoenix area opens up to offer even more exciting adventures than ever before. Sure, there might not be snow or cozy fireplace nights, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other romantic venues to explore.

Maybe you’re hoping to find that special someone this season. We know sometimes it can seem impossible to plan an impressive first date with a potential special someone. Or maybe you’ve found your perfect partner, but are feeling a little in a rut. Has it been a while since you’ve done something new and exciting?

Either way, we like to believe that winter is the perfect time to spark (or re-spark) love. To help you on your journey, below are three local spots perfect for a romantic rendezvous.

1. Museum of Musical Instruments

Have you checked out this gem yet? You absolutely should. It’s a one-of-a-kind museum that features hundreds of musical instruments from all over the world. There are lots of great interactive exhibitions, too! The museum is huge, however, so plan to spend a few hours here. Or, plan to do the first floor one day and come back to explore the second floor at a later time. It’s the best new experience for you and your loved one to explore together. We know you’ll have lots to talk about after and don’t they say music is the language of love?

It’s a perfect location for first dates, too. Let’s face it, these can be awkward. No one wants to sit across from someone wondering what to say, what to do and how long to keep the date going. A fun, interactive museum is just what you need to break the tension and give you both something fun to do and talk about.

2. Hike Camelback Mountain

Now is the perfect time to get outside! As temps can drop to the mid-60s, why not try something active for your date? We suggest packing a picnic and hiking iconic Camelback. You can go old-school and pack a full picnic basket, or just use a backpack instead. Either way, we suggest you pack a blanket and some of your favorite treats. Maybe pack a charcuterie board from LovebyLove or Nosh Board? What could be more romantic than that?

No matter your schedule, this is a great option. The top offers stunning views of the entire Phoenix skyline, so during the evening, you can see a cacophony of bright lights. The day offers views just as lovely.

3. Check out Fox Restaurants.

If you’re a Phoenix-area local, you definitely know Sam Fox. This restaurateur has opened numerous locations across the country, but you can find dozens of them in the Phoenix area like Culinary Dropout, The Arrogant Butcher, Flower Child and Ivy & Olive.

All of his area eateries offer contemporary takes on classic dishes. It’s hard to go wrong with any of his operations; however, if you’re looking for a more chill date option, check out The Henry located between Phoenix and Scottsdale. This establishment prides itself on feeling like a neighborhood spot and features fun and whimsical interior design. They offer house-made bakery items and have an in-house barista. Plan a mid-morning meet-up to take advantage of a fresh pastry and latte.

If you’re looking for something a little more formal, check out their full lunch and dinner menu. The location offers indoor and outdoor seating options. They offer great non-stuffy entrees and delicious cocktails. The youthful atmosphere and delicious food are surely enough to spark some chemistry between you and your date. Who knows, maybe you can even split dessert?
