Arizona State Fair
With events and activities scheduled the entire month of October, you’ll find a wide range of things to see and do at the state fair. And who can resist all of the treats, like fried Oreos and funnel cakes?
Phoenix Greek Festival
This incredible annual event is now in its 60th year. Scheduled for October 8-10, it features mouth-watering Greek foods, shopping, dancing, traditional costumes and family fun. Which is your favorite type of Greek meal or dessert?
Help your children get into the spirit of fall with Enchanted Island’s annual festival that includes hay and pony rides, a corn box and a petting zoo. Take a picnic or grab some takeout and enjoy a meal while you’re at the venue, which is located in the 222-acre Encanto Park.
Peoria Country Fest
Live bull riding, a beer garden, food trucks and country music! Headlining this year’s fest on October 9 is David Nail, Bayou Bandits, as well as Ivan Harshman.
Dia de los Muertos
Also known as “Day of the Dead,” these celebrations include a variety of activities, such as mask making, a community altar, live music and entertainment, face painting, and a sunset procession. Here are three different Dia de los Muertos celebrations in the Valley in October.
Arizona Bottles and Brews
Sample beers, wines, spirits, and hard seltzers from more than 25 Arizona breweries, wineries, and distilleries at this event on November 13.
Phoenix Pizza Festival
A festival for pizza lovers! Sample pizzas from nearly two dozen different pizza makers on November 13 and 14. You can also order beer, wine, cocktails, and desserts. This event also features lawn games and live music. And if that’s not enough, you can also enjoy doughnuts. In place of the Phoenix Donut Festival, doughnut makers will be on hand selling their delicious treats.
